About Cochise History Cochise Credit Union was chartered in 1958 by approximately 10 employees of Sulphur Springs Valley Electrical Cooperative (SSVEC). The total asset size at the time was only $150! Since then, Cochise has grown into a full service financial institution with over 3,000 members and $16 Million in assets. Membership Eligibility If you live or work in Wilcox, Pearce, Cohise, Bowie, or San Simon (85643/85644, 85625, 85606, 85605, 85632 respective zip codes), you may be elible to join Cochise CU.
