As a teenager, you are ready to look to your own future, start earning money of your own, and start saving for important investments like your first car and a college education. Learning to save and manage your money is an important key to your financial future. We at the Credit Union know that learning about money is as important as earning money. As a Cochise Teen Savers member, we will send you a quarterly newsletter called CU Succeed, published by the National Credit Union League. They also have an awesome website where you can learn more and talk with other teens who have many of the same concerns and goals as you. Click here to visit CU Succeed. Come in and ask us about the services we may be able to offer you, such as an ATM card, a checking account and how to balance it, tips on buying your first car or how to make a budget. You may even be able to begin building your own credit file. National Endowment for Financial Education The National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) is a curriculum developed by University Extension agencies in the United States aimed at teaching youth about money. They have a curriculum for children 8-12th grade. We will gladly provide these materials to schools for free (including those who are home schooled). |
